Terms of Use

1. Provider and scope

The provider is Paul Methfessel (see Imprint). These terms apply to the use of Split at split.paulmethfessel.com.

2. Service

Split is a free, privately operated hobby project for managing shared expenses. There is no right to availability, feature scope, or data retention. The service is under active development.

3. Account

An account is required to use the service. You confirm that the information you provide (in particular your email address) is accurate and that you are authorised to enter other people's data (for example, invitation emails).

4. User obligations

You agree not to use the service for unlawful purposes, for spam, to distribute malware, or to circumvent technical protection measures.

5. Liability

As the service is provided free of charge, the provider is liable only for intent and gross negligence and under the German Product Liability Act. To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for data loss, calculation errors, or indirect damages. Do not use Split as the sole basis for financial decisions.

6. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. The provider may discontinue the service at any time or suspend accounts in case of misuse.

7. Governing law

The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply.
